Visitors enjoyed this dog-friendly shopping extravaganza. Most stores in Old Towne participated in an outdoor/indoor sale of discounted merchandise and introduction of new Fall items! Well behaved dogs on leashes were welcomed in several stores. Water and doggie treats were provided throughout Old Towne.
Many folks started the day at the dog-friendly Farmer’s Market. The Appomattox River Walk trail was a big hit with dogs and owners, a perfect path for leashed pooches.
Pet-related events included:
- Dog contest at 3 pm at the Old Towne Market Place at Bank and Market Streets
- Face painting (for kids), homemade doggie bandanas, and music at the Dixie Diner at
N Sycamore and Bank Streets,
- Free doggie massages outside Therapeutic Massage Center and Boutique at 27 Bollingbrook St.,
2nd floor
- Treats and water were available outside manylocations
